Manual “Resilience in Action” Training and Best Practices for Youth Workers
AJITER – Associação Juvenil da Ilha Terceira (Terceira Island Youth Association) was present yesterday, 24 February, at the Centro Cultural de Belém in Lisbon, at the presentation of the “Toolkit Resilience in Action: Training and Practice for Youth Workers”, organized by the National Agency Erasmus+ Youth/Sport and European Solidarity Corps.
This initiative is a strategic response to the impacts of the war in Ukraine, using work with young people as an essential tool for promoting resilience and psychosocial support.
This Toolkit provides practical methodologies, tested in the field with Ukrainian young people, and ready to be replicated in youth centers and schools across Europe. Its launch also marked the unfortunate 4th anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
More than just one-off publication, this toolkit is designed to multiply skills, constituting a scalable result, designed to inform future Erasmus+ initiatives and strengthen the role of youth organizations as active contributors to social recovery and resilience building.
The Resilience in Action Toolkit is the result of the Transnational Cooperation Activity (TCA) ‘Resilience in Action’, organized by the National Agency, a pilot initiative that combined the training of youth workers with practical application in a real context with Ukrainian teenagers.
AJITER participated in this initiative as a member of the European Network ‘EURODESK’, providing information and opportunities to young people in these areas at its premises.
The EURODESK Network in Portugal is coordinated by the National Agency Erasmus+ Youth/Sport and European Solidarity Corps.
